Quick question what’s the right way to report an absence at Walmart? I called in but didn’t get a confirmation. Do I need to message team leads too? Trying to avoid points over a tech issue.
Okay, not trying to be judgmental but… today I saw a baby in Walmart with only a diaper on and nothing else. Like, not even a blanket. It was freezing in the store! I felt bad but also kinda shocked. Do y’all think we should’ve said something?

Every day someone tries to open a display phone like it’s a box of crackers. Sir, it’s bolted down for a reason.
I opened a box of shoes labeled “frozen peas.” This store is held together by duct tape and blind hope.
I smile, I scan, I bag. I also listen to life stories, break up kid fights, and translate “I have a return with no receipt” into corporate language. All in a day’s work.
Customer showed up 30 minutes early, refused to check in, then got mad they had to wait. I pick orders, not read minds. Please just use the app.
Picked 210 items in under 2 hours and only crashed my cart into one display. That’s what I call professional efficiency with a dash of chaos.
First week on register and I’ve already been yelled at over prices, asked if I “even know what I’m doing,” and had a kid hand me a sticky dollar. I smiled through all of it. Barely.
In your opinion, what is the number one thing that gets Walmart associates fired?
People keep leaving walmart because they feel undervalued. They don’t think management cares about them and they believe they are working in terrible conditions and hours. The funny thing is, managers act surprised whenever a “hardworking” walmart associate leaves the company. I mean what did you expect? Did you expect a thank you for the way that you treat us? The delusion is unreal.

After I started to work at walmart I realized and understood what people are going through. Especially the retail employees. They don't even need to be walmart associates. I know that everybody is struggling. So after becoming a walmart associate and seeing these terrible customers treating us this way

Why can’t you just be an example for all of us and do your job properly? Just like I said set the tone so that we can follow it.

... read moreSometimes I look at my fellow walmart associates who are “working” in my store and I think to myself like WHO THE he^l is hiring these people? Who thought it would be a good idea to put these lazy a^s people in a job that requires you to be physically active as much as possible. It’s either that these people are really good actors and tricking management to hire them in a job where they run around all day doing nothing, or the management are just like them, meaning d^mb and lazy, they just hire whoever is applying. All I’m saying is they need to set higher standards because it’s really unfair to the rest of the walmart associates.
... read moreIf I’m a hard worker who works all day to improve this place's function, and I still receive little or no recognition from management, why would I keep working hard? At the end of the day, no matter what I do and how perfectly I do it, I will receive no flowers for doing it and no one even will notice my work and appreciate it. Also, there are certain people who are close friends with their coaches and team leads and they get all the recognition and appreciation for their “hard work”. I’m really tired of all the unfairness that this place offers every single day. Being a walmart associate isn’t easy, and being a walmart associate who works hard is the worst. I keep asking myself why? Why do I keep showing up and give my best knowing what I know? I guess that’s just who I am as a person and that’s what I do no matter what.

There is this associate of mine who has an attitude against EVERYONE in the store. Like literally EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING in the store whether it's a customer or a walmart associate it doesn't matter. It's not a pleasant experience having to deal with someone like him. Maybe there is something going on in his private life but I'm not supposed to care about it because I already have my own problems like every other walmart associate and walmart customer.

So there is no need for this i don't care no mo gimmick because it's not believable. I don't mean it's not believable for me, it's not believable for u. I'm not saying that all of them come up and introduce themselves as "Hey I'm a walmart associate and I wish you all the best!" but whenever you interact with them and have even a little bit of conversation, they open up about it and you have a great chat with them. That's my experience as an associate anyway so feel free to disagree if you want to 🙂

You're working for a company that doesn't care about you at all and all you do for that company is to take sh^t from the most rude customers that ever existed. You don't get to give advice to anybody on anything. Shut your mouth and go back to your shift. Nobody would or should take advice from someone that they don't admire or idolize and believe me dear team lead, you are NOT an idol to anybody.

So let’s just try to spread realistic positivity because before I joined walmart, if I read the posts that I’ve been reading for the past week I wouldn’t join and I would definitely miss out on something very beautiful. I don’t want that to happen to someone else and that’s why I’m asking you guys this question. Peace out. ✌️
