I’ve been a department manager for years over TLE, (automotive). When my title changed to team lead a couple years ago, I did not get a pay increase like the others did in 2020, when team lead became active for the first time. But if I were to step down due to family issues I’ll lose 10% in pay. A pay I didn’t not receive to be a team lead. How is that fair? When I became department manager years and years ago I may of received $1 to $1.50 . It's been so long ago, I don't remember. But it definitely wasn't $2. I understand losing some pay due to less responsibilities but I didn’t receive the $2 raise like other DM’s did to step up to become TL’s. I have many many years as department manager and team lead experience. I will still bring my experience with me in any position I do. But I don’t think I should lose nearly $3 an hour. I don’t think it was fair they just changed my title from DM to TL with no pay increase.

The associates have no pride in their work, because there is no incentive to perform better. Increase the hourly rate to at least cover inflation, and bring back the bonuses for ALL ASSOCIATES. We have people leaving our store because it's better pay at MacDonald's, Burger King, and Chick a Fillet.

I'm one of those strange folks who actually enjoy working retail, so I can see myself staying here for a long while. However, it would be nice to know that I'll be making decent progress in my career as well as pay before I commit myself to it fully.

I've heard hourly managers are paid $30 an hour. Is this true? I'll really have to up my game and work on getting promoted if it is.
Does anybody else think raises at Walmart are more insulting than anything else? My last one was 30 cents. It's ridiculous.
I was offered a job a couple of years ago but I turned it down because the pay was below industry standard, and not by a little. Is that still the case? Another position popped up for me that I've been considering, but I don't want to waste my time if they're going to lowball me once again.
