Does anybody else think raises at Walmart are more insulting than anything else? My last one was 30 cents. It's ridiculous.
bravo
If it doesn’t make my life easier or if it doesn’t put me in a position where I can afford something I couldn’t afford before, then It’s not a raise.Period.

You bet the raises are insulting. Putting aside your 30 cent raise, which sounds to me like someone was joking, any sort of raise at the company didn’t even come close to aligning our incomes with the rise of living costs. They say that the inflation in the US was 7% in 2023,some even say that it reached 12% at some point. That seems to me like we are a lot poorer than we used to be, and that these so-called raises are just a marketing scam designed to make it look like the company is doing something for its employees, while our standard of living is a lot worse.
