Managers blatantly reward their favorites even though everybody knows they don't deserve it. If you dare complain, you'll end up being fired for some nonsensical reason. We just lost a great associate to this. It's ridiculous what TLs can get away with.
As sad as this is, it has indeed become the new norm. The good old boys or girls club is everywhere. What’s even more sad is that there is no way to successfully oppose this. The company knows about this and they don’t care. So, if you have the stomach for it, you can try to blend in and become a member of the club or just stay out of their way.
Everything said here is absolutely correct. It’s always been this way. But why do you care? Come to work, do your job, go home.
I'm in Vision and I can’t say it's particularly hard, that is if you have the required skills. And yeah, if I were you I would double check that info that you got about Vision not being understaffed.

This is my third job in five years, and I've witnessed the same at every single one, so I suppose playing favorites has become the new norm.
