All time served at this company should be credited to those of us that have done many years. The little raise of what .30 damn cents after the bs we have gone thru with this awful management! Its pathetic! Our raises should be by our productivity and experience in all areas in the store. Give us the credit in years we deserve! Its not our fault your management quality has fallin to the bottom of the barrel and we leave the company because of them.

I don’t want that to happen to someone else and that’s why I’m asking you guys this question. Peace out. ✌️

Life as an ogp walmart associate must be so strange it might actually make people do the weirdest things. There is this associate of mine who started to collect tomorrow's orders 'just in case'. I don't know what made him think that this is a normal thing to do and frankly, I don't want to know.

Why did corporate think that it's normal for someone to buy something that they will eat, drink, or wear, and put it in a bag that smells very very bad? Sometimes I think Walmart is trying to run out of business on purpose. It's like they have a hidden agenda or something. They love to make the associates feel like they are working in he^l, and now they are coming for the customers. The only people that they ever cared about other than their shareholders.

Every person that I asked to in my life said that it's possible to have beard or a mustache but it needs to be properly trimmed. It shouldn't be too long you know. I started with this because the problem that I will tell is that my TL is obsessed with my beard. I'm kind of unlucky too because I'm the only associate in my store who has beard and she does not like this. Whenever I try to grow my beard even for a little I always get in trouble. I'm tired of this. I don't want to be a part of a store that I have no freedom about what to do. Don't get me wrong my beard is not inches long. It's a normal beard and my TL hates it. I don't want to cut my beard every time just because my boss at my work hates it. This is personal to me. Unfortunately right now with all the payments that I have I can't afford to quit walmart. But I don't want to continue like this. What should I do?

... read moreHello dear associates. You don't need to know my name but what you need to know is I work at Walmart as a front end associate and I'm getting sick of it. When I started this, I already knew it wasn't one of the best jobs at Walmart but still, I wasn't expecting this amount of disrespect and unfairness. When you want to do a Walmart job application online and you read the job description, it's not a complex job, at all. You run a register, help people at the SCO, greet some people and get paid, go home, feed your kids, and live your life. That sounds like a plan, right? Unfortunately, it's not what it seems. I used to read negative comments about the job online before I completed my Walmart application, and I'm not gonna lie I thought people were overreacting. I mean how bad could it be, right? Well, let me tell you how bad it could actually get for you as a front end associate at Walmart. I'm going to tell you about my one day as an associate of this company and you will feel enough to hate this job. Yesterday, I clocked in and bang, the chaos started. My manager tells me to hop on a register because the line gets uncontrollable at other registers. Anyway, I did just that for about an hour and then here he came again, asking me to run the SCO because the person that's running it is missing today. They couldn't find any other associate but me. Anyway, I went there and started helping people who have no idea how a technological device works, and telling the teenagers that they actually need an ID to buy alcohol, etc etc. Usual stuff. And then some id^^t dropped a bottle of wine and apparently maintenance was short yesterday (they're always short btw). While I was cleaning the area, well let me put it this way, while I was doing something that was not my job, I had to answer 10 questions from the customers in like 5 minutes. And then I'm being called to carry a 50 inch tv because I'm young, I can do it. (like there are no other young people in the store). Then I finally got back to my register and found people yelling at me about how they had been waiting for me for 10 minutes while my front end manager giving me a side eye because I wasn't in a place where I was supposed to be (like he isn't the one who started all of this). So like that's just one day. You might think that I did most of the things that I stated at the beginning of the post as some things that are in the front end job description. Well, fair enough and not fair enough. Let me tell you why. I was lucky that my manager didn't run into me yesterday because if he did, I'm 200% sure that he was going to warn me about me not being in my register. That's how hypocritical these people can get. Another thing, I did the job of maintenance yesterday and I can assure you I did that tens of times for this month alone so far. I also can assure you that I'm not going to get paid extra for it. So I get to do a job that can be done by 3 people, but I get paid the salary of one. That's what bothers me the most and this is only the monetary part. The psychological part is another mess. There is no sympathy from managers. They don't understand you. They don't want to understand you and they never did, or will. Anything you say to them is an excuse for you to not doing your job. It's really humiliating to so many people including me (rightfully so). So here it is, Walmart is a company that will use you for 100% of your powers and abilities and not match your performance and sacrifices when it's a payday. If you are okay with that or you have no other choice like so many people, come to Walmart. I guarantee you won't enjoy it, but it is what it is.

I knew that before I filled out my Walmart application I just thought I would set my boundaries, and I would be fine. But I was totally wrong. You are not in a place to set boundaries at Walmart unless you are a favorite child of a manager and unfortunately, I'm not. So if you ever thought like me before applying to Walmart, maybe you should withdraw your Walmart application because your expectations are far from reality

Hi guys. I just finished my shift and I’m posting this while I’m going home in my fiance’s car. I work at Walmart as a front end associate and I remember coming to this company HYPED. Because it’s my first job, and I’m excited to start my life, you know? I remember feeling like having a party after completing my walmart application. But that changed after 2 weeks on the job. As you can guess or imagine, I went back and forth with a customer and I don’t know if you know this but if you’re a front end associate, talking back to a customer is like talking back to your parent. It’s basically a sin at our store. I don’t know if it’s the same for you guys, I hope not. Because it’s a huge pressure for me not to call out someone for their stupidity. Especially when their stupidity affects my life, at least I need to have the right to complain and stand up for myself a little, you know? And dealing with this on a day to day, feeling restricted on my freedom of speech, that’s not what I signed up for. As a result of all this, whenever I go back home after my shift, I feel like it’s my first day out of prison. Whenever I get to work I have my eyes on the clock. As soon as my shift ends I want to get out of here. I wouldn’t even want to stay if they offered me 3 times more than my salary. As a result, after noticing all of this about my work life, I feel depressed. Let me also add the fact that I spoke to people who worked at different jobs (including walmart) about what to expect as a 9-5 worker, but still, part of me didn't want to believe what they told me. Because I always believed life has to offer us a lot more and we need to take as much as we can. That's just how I feel. Starting this journey of 'living life' is really hard for me and I'm starting to lose hope and change my view as to what life should be, or if we want to be more accurate, what life already is. I mean I don't even know if I expressed myself properly, I just wanted to have a little therapy session online while I'm going home because I had a lot to get off my chest. Anyway, thanks for reading, and good luck

I mean I don’t even know what is ppto at this point because nobody seems to use them anymore at my store. So anyway, that’s not my main problem, my main problem is that the sick associate who insisted on coming to work no matter what, eventually made other people sick. This mf started a mini pandemic at my store. Everybody started coughing and all that and as far as I know, 3 people had to leave early, other than me. I’m posting this from my bed rn and I feel terrible. I hate everyone who played a part in me to get sick. I cannot express with words how much I hate to get sick but here I am. I can’t even have the power to leave the fu^^ing bed because of the flu which had nothing to do with me. Brother, why was it so hard for you to use the damn PTO? Now you made us all sick because of your stupid obsession with work. I know you have enough PTO to just get the fu^k out of the store for 2 days. So my message is, if you are sick, even if it’s not too hard for you for now, PLEASE stay home. Just because you are having it easy doesn’t mean that other people will have it easy too. Don’t be a selfish fu^k, just stay in.
