Hello guys. I want to start with a quick question. Can walmart store associate have beard? Every person that I asked to in my life said that it's possible to have beard or a mustache but it needs to be properly trimmed. It shouldn't be too long you know. I started with this because the problem that I will tell is that my TL is obsessed with my beard. I'm kind of unlucky too because I'm the only associate in my store who has beard and she does not like this. Whenever I try to grow my beard even for a little I always get in trouble. I'm tired of this. I don't want to be a part of a store that I have no freedom about what to do. Don't get me wrong my beard is not inches long. It's a normal beard and my TL hates it. I don't want to cut my beard every time just because my boss at my work hates it. This is personal to me. Unfortunately right now with all the payments that I have I can't afford to quit walmart. But I don't want to continue like this. What should I do?
HR probably
I mean it's still a human being, so it's subjective. The length of a facial hair might be long to them but at the same time might not be long to me. So this will only create more and more problems.
I agree. Walmart should just let all the associates be free about this issue. Nobody will grow up a beard that will make them look like cavemen.
Well just like zion said it's subjective and the party that matters in this situation is the customers. I know it's harsh to hear but it's a fact and your beard scares some customers and that's not what walmart wants and when you think about it it's fair.
Who tf gets scared of a beard??
Not just scared but they might not like it. Your first impression in the customers' eyes should be close to perfect.
What about their impression in my eyes?
Nobody gives a fu^k about that at WM lol
It's not a good idea to grow a beard in a store where most people don't have a beard. Believe me, in the manager's and customer's eyes your beard is looking longer than it is.
Bro it's just a beard at the end of the day. Why do people make a big deal out of something like this?
Well, that's the society we live in.
People at my store don't care if I have a beard or not. I'm surprised to read a story like yours. I think you should request a transfer or quit because this shouldn't be normal.
Same for my store as long as I'm doing my job I'm good to go
That's what I was gonna say. I think the guy posting this has other problems than his beard and his beard is the only visible one. If you do your job and work hard, nobody cares how you look.
Just call Walmart ethics bruh
I think this rule changes from store to store.

It's a very subjective topic. Who decides if a beard is long or short?
