Good old days

Is there such a thing as "good old days" at Sam's? All my previous jobs came with people who lamented about the "good old days" all the time. This is the first time that nobody seems to be wistful about the past, which is a bit scary, to be honest. That means things were always bad, and just keep getting worse. In which case, why would anybody stay here long-term?

You won't believe it, but when Mr. Sam's was around, this was an exceptional workplace that everyone was proud to be a part of.

I have been here for a long time and I can honestly say it’s always been the same. Different times, different challenges, but it was always bad in the same way as it is today. Oh yeah, and there were always people talking about the good old days.

One day people will be talking about the present time as the good old days. Nostalgia is really something isn’t it.

Having started back in 2008, the "good old days" from my perspective, are everything prior to June 2019 (i.e. pre-Block Scheduling). Stores functioned a whole lot better when there was a full overnight crew. Additionally, I'd have to say things also ran smoother when every store had a personnel department and an audit team.
