Zoning should be a competition
I have an idea. Zoning should be a competition where the managers and coworkers vote for the best zones of the month or week I don't know. Then there should be some kind of reward for it, like zoning Hall of Fame at the break room, etc. Also, there can be small financial benefits as well. Because when you think about it, it’s an important part of the business. Nobody likes a messy store. That’s why we need to appreciate our associates that do zoning. And when you think about the competition, it’s also a good thing for Walmart because people will be competing with each other to have a better zone than the next guy. As a result, you get a more organized Walmart 🙂
Fair enough, but that will be the manager's job to set up a fair competition 🙂
You should talk about this idea to your SM. It sounds exciting.

Your idea is kinda good, it’s thought-provoking but it has a lot of missing points. How will you know people will be telling the truth? For example, you can do the most beautiful zoning of all time and I can just come up and just do a minor change and claim that I did all of this.
