I swear, having to deal with crazy people all the time - and I'm not even talking about customers here - and trying to fit in to make your days bearable is bound to make you lose some of your sanity. Is it a requirement to work at Walmart to have a few loose screws? Is that how people manage to stay here for 10+ years?
just focus on what you need to do don’t think about them. Who cares
I don’t think the requirement is to have a few loose screws, but to have a thick skin and an emotionless approach when dealing with people who have such a “diagnosis”. And there will be many of them. I don’t know if my approach works for everyone, but I try not to take anything at work too seriously, I cut my emotions off, get on with my work and go home without a single thought about anything that happened at work. That’s it.
I have worked at a couple of similar companies and, good news, everywhere is like that. If the job is taking a toll on you, change the industry.
