I understand footballers, basketball players, even construction workers who make their profession their whole personality, but I cannot understand some of my dear colleagues who make working at Walmart as a f-ing cashier their whole life. It’s the only thing they talk about. And not just at work, but with their families, with their friends and even with people they have just met. They treat their jobs with such passion you’ll hardly see anywhere. I just find that kind of obsession with a basic job, that people treat sh^^^y and can’t wait to leave, unhealthy.
You gotta understand the different backgrounds people are coming from. Some people have been living pretty sh^^^y lives and have had all kinds of problems in their houses and Walmart just helped them escape from reality. You’re probably coming from a good family that never had any big issues so you expect more from life, but you gotta understand some people couldn’t be happier than they are right now working at Walmart. Have a great life.
