They keep telling us we should smile more when we greet the customers like why on earth would I do that? Do they deserve a smile? If they don't and most probably they don't, why should I greet them with a smile? I mean I get that it's important for the image of walmart and all that but no matter how I greet them they will most probably think that I'm not enough or I wasn't able to help them. So why bother?

you should greet customer with a smile you never know whose day it’s gonna make. I’ve had plenty of customers tell me it made the day better because I greeted them and smiled and asked how their day was..
