Walmart is not a place where you can request things like this

There’s something spiritual about slicing ham at 8 AM while a line of hangry people builds. This one lady today wanted her sandwich with “no crust on the hoagie roll.” Ma’am… that’s just bread. Another guy asked if we could microwave his soup and serve it in a bowl. This is Walmart. Not a diner. I still helped them both, because we really do try but please, keep it realistic.

I worked in Produce a few years ago. A customer wanted me to slice open a watermelon for him to see if it was good. I told him that I could not do that, because if he did not buy it, we could not sell it. He was not happy....oh, well.
