Switched from Target to Walmart
I know some would call me crazy but I'm not regretting it. Working at Target felt like being in the military. I've had enough of that stifling environment within a few months. Walmart is far from perfect, but I don't have a knot in my stomach every time I go to work. I swear, people who hate it here need to try working at other retailers. It'll definitely give you some perspective.
You say that because you feel relief because you left a cr^ppy work environment and everything seems new and fresh to you. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. You now have better motivation, that’s for sure. Unfortunately after some time you will start to feel the same way at Walmart. When you figure out that it’s the same sh^t. The good news is that, by that time you will have the ba^^s to leave and start working somewhere else.
I hardly think working at Walmart is better than working at Target. Maybe you just had some good luck and landed into a good team with a good lead. That’s a good thing. Enjoy it while it lasts.
