Should I risk my job over this?

I hate what my work life has turned into. Nearly every day, I'm pulled off the register duty and transferred onto the most difficult task by one of my front-end team leads. This leaves me completely burnt out by the end of the week to the point where even getting out of bed seems like too much. It's not all of them, it's the same guy doing this to me, but it always happens. I'd like to ask him to cut it out, to let me breathe a bit, but I'm too scared he's going to retaliate by making my life even more difficult. What are the chances of that happening? Should I give it a try after all?

Hate to disappoint you, but I don’t think asking will do you any good. The same is happening to me with cart pushing. Tried asking about it more than once, the response was always the same: "It's in your job description, so just roll with it."
