Self-registers should be the future
Do you think it’s time for Walmart to aim for all registers to be self-registers in the near future? I just like how associates are freed of an unnecessary job which could be replaced by doing something much more useful for the store. I don’t understand why the higher-ups haven’t done this already since it's common sense.
I agree with you. We need to use the technology we got for good purposes like this and not to build the best Snapchat filter or the best troll AI video.
I don't work for Walmart so I refuse to ring up my own purchases. When you went to Jiffy Lube did you have to change your own oil?

It certainly looks good on paper but do you see your grandma using a self-register? Of course not and it won’t be doable for at least 10 years. For now it is okay to have around 40-50% of registers
