No life outside Walmart

Saw a post the other day from someone saying they’ve only been at their job for like a month, part-time, but already getting slammed with random hours—closing one night, then opening the next morning. Honestly, I felt that. I remember when I first started, they had me bouncing all over the schedule too, no warning, no consistency. What hit me was how they said they look at the full-timers who’ve been there for years and just wonder… do they even have lives outside of this place? Like, when do they see their family or friends? !!! That part stuck with me. It’s lowkey depressing :-( I really hope that person gets out before this place su^ks the soul outta them like it’s done to so many others. You blink and suddenly it’s been five years and all you’ve done is rotate shifts and miss birthdays!!!!

I have a life outside of Walmart. When I interview for my job. I asked them if they had a problem with me not working on Sunday. I go to church and have family gathering on Sunday. They said they understand, but they did try to get me to work on Sunday. I just keep saying no.
