Management invading into my life

I don't understand why are TL's invading in our lives more than necessary. If I was coming to work drunk I would understand being questioned and getting angry looks but for using my PPTO I will never. This morning I slept in and came to work an hour late. I don't have a problem dealing with consequences of my actions so I immediately put my PPTO in it and thought I cleared everything, but when I was preparing to leave later in the day, my TL called me to talk and asked me why I used my PPTO and was pretty angry. I'm pretty sure PPTO is private and noone needs to know the reasons behind it. What do you think, am I in the wrong?

I'm totally on your side. PPTO is supposed to be a personal benefit, and you should be able to use it without feeling scrutinized. If you have the hours you should be able to use them without anyone questioning why

at the end of the day, it’s your time and your decision. as long as you are following the policies, they really shouldn’t be grilling you about it...
