I just wrapped up my first year here
I seem to be in the minority, but I have very little to complain about. It's easy work for decent pay, at least where I am. If I was in a big city, I know things would be different. But here, work is 15 minutes from home and it pays me enough to live comfortably on my own. Yes, we have to deal with assholes all the time, but honestly, can you name one job where that's not true?
Oh yeah. The first year is usually the best one.

I have been working here for 5 years now, also in a small store, and my impressions are totally opposite to yours. I hate it here. I do too much work and it’s never good enough, my boss is an a^^hole, and my coworkers are back stabbers.. Believe it or not, I am happy that somebody is feeling satisfied at Walmart. That just shows that it can be done that way, that everywhere is not the same as many claim, and that making employees miserable at work is not necessarily part of the Walmart culture.
