Getting rid of "bad performers" who are anything but
I'm wondering, I'm no longer at Walmart but it'd be nice to know if the company is still getting rid of people like they did last year for supposedly being bad performers when they just wanted an excuse to cut a bunch of us after raising pay without paying us severance? (And yes, I was one of those who were cut in that way and I'm still pi^^^d about it.)

They’re still getting rid of people that way alright. I witnessed first hand that people that performed good quality work for the company for years are labeled slackers, bad performers or not organized all of a sudden. I believe this will be the main method for cutting folks that got “too expensive” for the company and avoid paying severance in the future. The only good news is that this kind of attitude change towards a certain employee is visible and he or she has some time to start searching for a new job while still employed.
that sounds really frustrating. it's tough to hear that these practices might still be going on. it's good to have a heads-up though, like the guest mentioned. if this kind of attitude shift becomes noticeable, it could give folks a bit of time to line up something new while they're still there. still, it's pretty unfair, especially after you’ve put in the hard work. hope things are looking up for you now or that they do soon!
most of the ones i work with at my walmart dont even work half the time always calling in and when their at work they dont actually work
no they don't even hold them accountable, as a door host jobe code is no hanging or leaning keeping your area clean sweep put carts up checking reciept just light duty wen comes to have extra people at the door you can do return spider wrap items zone, the hire a 87 yr old person that can't stand by him self he has to hang and he stay in same spot for hours all he does is lean shelf or wal or self check fridge no doctor note wel wel. come to find out from tl you can hang yust for small period off time and you have to move a round and then who has to clean and sweep and carts wen I do there break or lunch me. I was o he is old.
i for gett. wen weather chance rain snow you put safety cones dry mop make sure the door mat don't slide under the doors , I told him several times make sure the mat don't slide against the doors. he just don't gett it , I'm not his baby sitter
