Hey guys. I've been working for Walmart for the past 5 years and I'm blessed to lose almost no associates during that time. Look, I get it. Walmart is not the best place to work but it has its positive sides too. I mean more accurately, it has its positive side, without the plural 🙂 and it's the associates that you work with. It's truly a blessing to be able to work with so many wonderful people who have your back no matter what and who are able to develop a great friendship with you outside of work as well. I get that not a lot of people are fortunate enough to experience something like that but believe me, stores like mine exist and they are much more easier to find than you can imagine. Your associates should be the people who brighten up your day and they should be the reason you are excited to go to work. You have a right to have an expectation like that because you are a human being, just this factor means that you deserve an environment like mine. Never settle for less and always try to build great relationships with your associates. Believe me, it makes everyone's life easier. It's a two way street tho. You can't expect them to treat you like a prince or a princess all the time without you putting in the effort to make your friendship better. The respect, love and the work you put in to protect your friendship should be mutual. When that happens my friends, believe me, things get a lot easier. It's a job that you applied for because it had a decent pay after all. So even if the customers or the managers are rude to you, you get to have two positive sides of the job. (See, the positive sides become plural before I finish the post 🙂) The pay is decent, and if you have beautiful friendships in Walmart, you won't even think about complaining because you already have all you need. So I want to end this post by wishing everyone on this platform to have great friendships at Walmart. Have a nice day everyone.
I wish my teammates were like yours but instead I work with lazy b-ms who blame me for everything.
When something is so beautiful you kinda get stressed that you won't be able to make the most out of it and enjoy it to the fullest potential, I want that. I'd like that type of stress in my life. Not the stress of dealing with rude customers who have no empathy for you, not the stress of dealing with relentless managers who have no idea what you're going through in your personal life and they seem to not care about it at all.
I work in one of those types of stores and I'm an overthinker, so you would guess what I do. Sometimes I cry about not having this kind of environment forever because people will move on. Relationships will change and you will lose something that is so precious.
Don't even think about this stuff because it ki^ls all your joy.
Just enjoy it while it lasts.
