Fear of dogs

I started to work at Walmart as a delivery driver a month ago. I was never a dog person. I was always afraid of them as a kid, and not much changed for me as an adult. Anyway, when I enter the garden of any property, I’m always scared. I’m alert looking for vicious dogs that might bite me. Sometimes I see some of them. I don't even wanna go further, but I have to. I realized recently that this stress is too much for me and my fear of dogs isn’t going away. I’m not sure if I should leave or not, because I desperately need this job. Sometimes I get hopeful and think that I can find another job at another place, that doesn’t trigger my fears, but I don’t know. Are there any tips you guys can give me to overcome this fear of mine? I really don’t know what to do atp.

Keep facing your fear. That’s the only solution to any fear problem. Just keep going for it.

Having treats with you that a dog might like is a good idea. That’s what I do. If I see a dog that might get aggressive, I try to approach it in a most friendly manner, and treats really help.

I had the same fear and it didn’t go away to be honest with you. Because some dogs are really dangerous and I try to be fast around them as much as I can. That’s the only solution I could come up with.
