Enough is enough

Why is it that I end up doing five different jobs throughout the day to help both other associates and customers out but when I need help there's nobody around? Even though THERE ARE plenty of other folks on the clock? I am always the reliable one and I can't rely on anybody else. Well, enough is enough. I'm done being the dependable one when it suits everyone else, only to be left hanging when I need backup. From now on, I'm doing my job and that's it. Even if I get fired. I don't give a damn anymore. Let's see how things go when I'm not the only one carrying my shift.

The hard workers are always the first ones they turn to when you-know-what hits the fan. And sadly, even when that happens, the lazy ones still skate by with the bare minimum and then get praised for the minimum contribution they provided. It's infuriating. But that's Walmart for you. If you want things to improve, you have to find yourself a job where they actually appreciate what you bring to the table. Trust me, you deserve better.

Have you tried involving your coach? A while back, I found myself in a situation where they dumped a shitload of work on me that I wasn’t even trained for. My coach helped me big time, handled it smoothly by bringing an experienced worker from another area to help me get through the day. I’m not certain if the coach later discussed it with my TL or anyone higher above, but that situation never happened again.
