Coach-associate relationship

So, there’s a coach at my store who’s clearly in a relationship with one of the associates on their team. They don’t make it obvious in public, but it’s not exactly a secret either because most people know. The thing is, nothing’s being done about it. It’s like management is just pretending it’s not happening. I get that it’s technically their business, but when favoritism starts creeping into scheduling and tasks, it becomes everyone’s problem. Anyone else dealt with something like this?

Favoritism can really mess with morale. Document anything you notice that seems unfair, smth likeschedule changes, task assignments, or promotions, and just bring it up with another coach or even HR. Having specifics makes it harder for them to ignore the problem.

Talk with coworkers you trust to see if they’re willing to raise the issue as well. Multiple voices are harder to dismiss, especially if everyone is noticing and feeling the favoritism.

It might help to approach the coach directly in a professional way. If you’ve seen specific issues (like unfair task distribution), calmly ask about the reasoning
