Working on holidays

I have been scheduled to work for the last 4 holidays in a row. I get that it could just be a stupid coincidence, but even if it was that, it’s demoralizing that we don’t get any compensation for it. I mean the only “benefit” we get from holidays is that we get double points if we call in… I like Walmart and it truly has some good company policies but this is just dehumanizing.

It’s crazy to even think about the fact that you’re missing out on spending time with your loved ones, when everyone is finally home, for the same amount of money that you would earn any other day in the year :OO

And imagine on top of all that, when working on a holiday, a customer comes yelling at you because the store ran out of their favorite milk… Man, I still sometimes wonder how I held myself together that day.

Well, somebody needs to miss those holidays because there are a lot of people who love to visit Walmart and all those kinds of places during the holidays. If nobody is there to welcome them, they will go to another place to spend their time and money.

That's right. That's why all of us should respect all the doctors and nurses for instance.
