When the freight flow collapses on you
Tonight’s unload turned into a disaster. Whoever stacked the pallets didn’t wrap them right, so every time I tried to move one, the boxes collapsed like dominos.
At one point I was literally re-boxing freight on the floor, trying to salvage what I could. The team lead radioed me asking why I was “falling behind.” Maybe because I was rebuilding half the truck by hand?
Sometimes it’s not the freight that’s hard—it’s the way it’s packed. Poor pallet wrapping will humble you real quick.
