When leadership forgets what the job really takes

What gets frustrating isn’t just the lack of help—it’s how disconnected some team leads or managers can be from what it actually takes to get the job done. They'll toss a cart of returns at you five minutes before clock-out or act surprised when you don’t finish zoning because you were called to register three times. I’m not against working hard. But at least recognize when we’re pulled in five directions at once. Saying “just do your best” only goes so far when the expectations never adjust. We need communication, support, and managers who understand what a full day really looks like from our side.
