Came in for CAP2 tonight and somehow I was the only one scheduled for the entire GM unload. They said, “Oh, the truck’s small today.” Spoiler: It wasn’t. It was stacked to the ceiling, with pallets leaning like they wanted to collapse on me.
I spent the first hour just trying to clear enough space to move. Got called to backup twice because front end was swamped, and by the time I came back, the freight was piled higher than when I left.
Nobody from management came back to check. Nobody offered to pull help from anywhere. I ended up staying late just to finish one section. It’s those nights where you really feel like the store’s on your shoulders.
