We're NOT a family
I keep hearing the store manager go 'Guys, we're like a big family in this place. Everyone is loved and appreciated'. I don't know what made him think that this phrase actually works because I can assure you it DOES NOT work. Like at all. Because families are not based on a profit. We are. If I'm not here 2 days in a row without using any ppto or pto, they will fire the he^l outta me. I know that because that's exactly what happened to my best friend at Walmart who had to leave because his wife gave birth to a child. He didn't say anything to anybody for a few days, before you come at me, I know that's a mistake and I know he shouldn't have done that. But the same store manager that says we're a family like a parrot, didn't fire the team lead that fired my best friend by destroying him in front of everybody. He heard that happened, he is aware of the situation yet, he didn't say sh^t. So whenever he says we're a family bullsh^t I just think he's a hypocrite. Families forgive their member's mistakes. Families don't humiliate their members in front of other family members.
That's another valid point too. The phrase itself is disrespectful atp.
I mean not to be disrespectful or anything but what did your best friend even expected? I'm not defending that TL in any type of way but you can't just disappear for a few days and then come back like nothing happened, no matter how specific or urgent your situation was. It's just irresponsible.
I agree. I just said that it was a mistake, but not firing that piece of sh^t is a mistake too.
Did anybody call Walmart ethics about this?
Not that I'm aware of.
Then y'all shouldn't cry.
I mean there is always this type of people who would say this kind of bullsh^t to make people under them feel better. To make them feel good and heard etc. At least they are trying is what I think. I'd rather someone selling me bullsh^t with kindness than someone yelling their lungs out to me you know.
