Walmart isn’t always wrong

I’m always hearing people rant about Walmart’s attendance system, but I really don’t see what’s the big deal ??? I mean as far as I’ve heard, you get FIVE times per 6 months to miss work(unannounced). People who have a problem with that shouldn’t even apply to work. This isn’t high school so you can just decide not to show up whenever you want. The people depend on you and if you feel that you need to miss more than 5 days in 6 months, go make your own business and I can’t wait for you to come across like minded people.

I get where you're coming from, but what if someone has a chronic illness or an emergency? The system doesn't account for unexpected but legitimate reasons to miss work. Some people genuinely need that flexibility.

Agreed, 5 days in 6 months should be more than enough for most people. It's a job, not a hobby. If you can't commit to showing up regularly, then maybe retail isn't the right field for you.

you get fired on the 5th day. and if you go to the hospital or have to do chemotherapy . they still point you. they don't take doctors notes.
