Trying to stop being a workaholic

Hey guys, I’m a stocker at Walmart and I’m a workaholic. As you can tell, one of the reasons is money because I love to get paid more than my original salary. Fyi, I’m single and I don’t have many friends in this city. So I don’t have much of a social life. I thought that since I’m at this stage of my life where I have plenty of time in my hands, I should do more. Meaning work more. But recently, it’s getting to me. I miss going out with a couple of friends to have dinner. Even though I currently don’t have a lot of friends, I think I will make friends once I try to socialize more instead of working my a^s off. So I decided to do that. I’m not working more than 40 hours anymore. I want to make friends more than I want to make money. Well, at least for now.

You’ll have enough time to make friends. I think it makes more sense to stay on that grind while you can. Because once you make friends or a romantic partner, it’s gonna be much harder since it will be hard to say no to them when they ask for your time.

I understand where you're coming from, but I don't agree. Respectfully

I respect and love your decision. You do you. Don’t listen to negative talk from no one since it’s YOUR life.
