I saw my Team Lead crying in the parking lot. I felt horrible and approached him immediately to ask him about what the he^l was wrong. At first, he didn’t want to answer any of my questions so I decided to shut up and let him let it out. He didn’t say anything for a few mins after that he kinda stopped and thanked me for my presence. I asked him, ‘Bro, what’s going on?’ He just said that he had one of those days and sometimes he struggles with the pressure that comes from management. Thankfully he said he has no problems at home with his wife and kids, but seeing a grown-a^s man crying alone like that because of the pressure he faces at his job, really made me rethink my position at Walmart. Is it worth it over this stupid little job? You put your blood, sweat, and tears in it and you get what?? Nothing. Anyways. That happened. (PS, don’t forget to check on your TLs and Coaches. They are human beings, and they have managers too.)
They are human beings, and they have managers too.’ THANK YOU.
I'm a team lead, thank you for this. Finally someone realizing we are in this together with you all.
🙏
That’s really terrible. Well, at least he doesn’t have any problems at home. That’s the most important thing ISTG. Any sh^t comes from work comes and goes, when it’s family, it’s a real problem.
some people just think that their TL's or SM's own the entire company. when in fact they are employees too.
listen, here's the scoop.. I was management and it took a toll on me because i let it. if it is that bad talk to your SM about it and step down. I did and I have no regrets 😌. now I'm on year 9 and love my job very much. because of my experience my managers love me because I can help when needed and there is no pressure for it. It also affords me privileges I otherwise would never have. also look into switching stores, you may just not have found "yours" yet. Stay strong and it will pay off for you.
Peace of mind is much more valuable than any job position you can get.
Amen to that
