Overnight tonight was one of those nights. First thing, there’s a water leak near the receiving door. Spent the first hour running wet floor signs and calling maintenance, who said they’d "put in a ticket.” Classic.
Got back to freight and one of the pallets was stacked so poorly that it collapsed the second I tried to move it. Cleaning that up took another hour. When we finally got to compacting boxes, the baler jammed and nobody could get it cleared.
We were down half a team because of call-outs, so it was just three of us scrambling to cover everything while the walkie kept calling for extra coverage. By the time we clocked out, the backroom was still half a disaster. Some nights you win, some nights you just survive.
