My TL has lately been skipping work really often because of some family issues and I was always the person he called to replace him. Don’t get me wrong, I love being a TL, and I’m aspiring to be one, but I feel used. I’m constantly taking over all of his responsibilities and sweating at work more than I usually would, and all for the same salary. I feel like whenever I step in to replace him, my hour rate should be increased.
It’s probably done undocumented and in the papers you’re labeled like you’ve been working your job only so I highly doubt you will get that extra money until you do something about it.

Man, you definitely should be getting his salary. That should be the law. Talk to somebody asap.
