Revenge time

I have been suffering at work for the past 8 months that I’ve been working here more than I have ever suffered at any workplace. The management I had were some of the meanest people I have ever met and I had to put up with some hardcore bullying you wouldn’t even see at school. They were literally using me just to have fun knowing how much I needed this job and how replaceable I was. Today I have finally decided that it’s enough because of my good new friend that I met working here who was a customer. He helped me find a new job and I’m thinking about leaving without any notice. I just want to cause them problems but I’m scared will it affect other innocent people by them having to work more, cover my shifts or something?

I texted one night that they would never see me in Walmart again as an employee. Five and a half years of that cr^p was enough!

Tough choices. i would wish that you had a good team lead that could spot problems ahead of time and resolve issues before they had a chance to get a foothold on anyone on the team. Since clearly you don't have that great team lead I will address you r other questions. 2 weeks is considered a courtesy. It is nice for the team because it allows for the team to make adjustments without overtaxing others. If you just leave it will most definitely overtax other team players...but if the problem is so bad...staying might not be the best for your own mental health. Do what you have to do.

Turnover rates can indicate big problems for teams, individuals, management and corporate relationships. it is not just about having speed. Much of making a team run smoothly is about putting the right people in the right positions and about respect for the individuals. Sam's original policies are great and right on the mark. Just get the right people in the right places.

my feeling is that its up to you and your new employer. it can take Walmart 4-6 minimum to go thru their cr^p before they hire someone new. it took them 7 weeks to pull someone from the registers to train them at the service desk operations and give them the basic knowledge to work basics

A two week notice is customary and a courtesy. Take the high road and do the right thing.
