Physical labor is not worth it !!

When I started working here, I thought the pay was decent for the work, it's a straightforward job, you get the trucks unloaded and stock the shelves. But as time has gone on, I've realized it's taking a huge toll on my body, my back the most. The repetitive lifting of heavy boxes, often in awkward positions, is no joke. Even though I was trying to use proper lifting techniques and the back brace, I feel my back going worse by each day. I'm in my late 20s and I’m already dealing with chronic back pain. I've seen coworkers who've been doing this for longer, and many of them have similar issues. A lot of them have had to leave their job or take on less physically demanding jobs because their bodies just can't handle it anymore. Even if the pay is good the job’s not worth it because it will take away your mobility until the rest of your life!

I've been unloading trucks for about five years now, and the back pain is real. I've started seeing a chiropractor, but it's expensive, and Walmart's insurance doesn't cover much. It's a really tough spot to be in, know that you’re not alone and hang in there!

I was considering applying for a similar job, but after reading a few of these posts, I'm definitely rethinking it. Really don’t wanna regret my whole life because of a few thousand dollars.

when i get off work , i can barely walk because of my back. i would never recommen walmart as a good job. i have been with them for 13 years. walmart has gotten worse as the years go by. before this point system, you could miss 3 days and it would be counted as 1 . that's when Sam was alive . Sam said if the employee is happy, so will be the customers. but that has gone out the window. it's all about the money. they don't care about the employees anymore.
