Pay rise question

For the past 2-3 weeks, whenever I hop online to one of the walmart forums I always see walmart associates complaining about the pay rise that they have gotten recently. So my question is this: what would be a good pay rise for you? What percentage or how much money do you think a walmart associate should be making?

I just want to get what I deserve that's all. I think that the current pay is no where near to what I'm supposed to be making. To specifically answer your question I don't know what I should be making exactly, but I damn sure know that this isn't it. This isn't what I'm supposed to be making after all this hard work.

Working an entire year putting up with all the sh^t that you get from customers and managers and at the end of the year you get your raise in cents not in dollars. That is so f*cking disrespectful.

I want enough money to afford my life and currently with this economy, I'm not able to do that.

I kept reading these comments and the ones that I saw on other platforms and I can tell you one thing that they are not realistic. I know that Walmart is full of selfish people who care about nothing but profits but they can't give everyone a 3 dollar pay raise every year. Don't get me wrong, I also think that the pay raise isn't enough in this economy but it's just what it is. Expecting more is not realistic. Plain and simple.

This is the mindset that lets these people get away with anything that they do.

It's not my problem if it's realistic or not. They should give me what I deserve. They need to care about their employees and their power to afford life. Because surely their employees care a lot more about walmart than walmart cares about them.

Yeah buddy it is your problem. Your life is the one that's at stake. If you keep complaining that you should've gotten more, than nothing will change in your life you will be in the same place forever. I'm not saying that the pay raise was enough or ok I'm saying complaining about it doesn't change sh*t. Try to adapt to it instead and come talk to me again.

How can I adapt to an economy where every single price tag is going up and my salary is failing to catch up with them? Do you know how to do it? If you know why don't you share with us?

maybe the people that stock the shelves and unload the trucks need raises. Do you know how many people are in the self check out (employees) just raising their hand to you and telling you what register to go to there are? i dont believe they need a $3 a year raise. why am i not getting paid for ringing myself out and packages my iwn groceries?
