I've noticed many pharmacist job openings in the Atlanta area and wondered why. It seems pharmacists are dealing with increasing requests and it's reaching the point where it's superhard to do the work period - unpaid weekly meetings before work and promoting additional vaccinations like Shingrix and Gardasil to make even more profit and it's so hard for poeple who are suposed to do the work. They're also expected to help nearly every patient to upsell more services and make specific calls that will help Walmart make even more $$$. This extra workload has contributed to a nationwide shortage of retail pharmacists, as many who left the industry are reluctant to return, preferring to avoid the retail setting. The poor treatment during the COVID pushed many to look for better jobs (as the did, many left), as any other job seemed better compared to the negative experiences they had at the pharmacy here (and other large chains are as bad as we are). Frankly I have no questions just want to vent a bit. I see that there are no posts in the pharmacy section on this website so I am not even sure if someone will see it but that's how I feel on this Friday afternoon.
Same in SoCal, a tons of jobs open
i am also seeing number of jobs listed float quite a bit - it probably depends how HR and recuriters batch jobs, etc. sometimes i see jobs that do not exist any more or walmart is just late removing jobs from the internet. it's messy and i'd say there is about 50% accuracy on what's being posted. i also agree with you on everything you say, i am just making a remark about things being not accurate and late.

I am not working at the pharmacy but it sounds like things are super tough at the pharmacy right now, as always we need better job conditions. They always want to make more money and every push in that direction causes problems for the worker, hang in there and hopefully things will get better soon!
