How do some associates get away with doing nothing almost all the time? If I take a break that's two minutes longer than it's supposed to be I get yelled at by my TL and yet I see people just staring at their phones for hours and nobody does anything. I'm not hating, on the contrary. I'd love to know their secret.
I hate to break it to you, but it’s probably because your TL likes those lazy people more than you, or because he generally doesn’t like you, not that it’s any of your fault.
true
You're right, TLs always have their favorites, but honestly, I can't say when I last saw someone slacking. There's so much to do during a shift that we all bust our as^^s, at least at my store.
Take it from a long-timer. TL’s change more often than you think. Hopefully the next one won’t be that negative towards you.
i hear ya! there is an older associate and whenever he takes his first 15 min break, its actually almost 30. his lunch break ive witnessed him take a 52min lunch (clocks in at correct time BUT doesn't return to his post until those 52 mins or practically a whole hour) and should i too decide to echo his same actions management gets to the walkie and starts screaming my name! the guy's been there almost 8 years and i guess theyre used to him doing that but CAN I GET THOSE HOURLY LUNCHES TOO??? dang it
