This might sound d*mb but I found a couple of expired items in frozen the other night—like, by weeks. I was just zoning the aisle and pulled some Hot Pockets forward, saw the date and did a double take. I flagged a team lead and they kind of brushed it off like “just toss them” but I’m wondering—shouldn’t this get logged somewhere? Do we not do markdowns anymore for that kind of stuff? I don’t want to be the overthinking guy but it seems like it shouldn’t just be disappearing quietly. What’s the usual protocol at your store when you find out-of-date food, especially in frozen? #FrozenFood #InventoryControl
