How Many Attendance Points Allowed?

Quick question: how many attendance points does Walmart allow before termination? I know it’s changed over the years. Some say 5, others say 9. What’s the current policy at your store?

it's down to 5 now over a 6 month period. they fall off six months from the time you got the point. if i had my way, they would start over every 6 months, when your anniversary hits you get a clean slate and six months after that automatically. one issue with that from the company's perspective with that would be those people who would save all their points to the end knowing they would get a clean slate. I would exempt doctors visits, family care, someone dealing with a major illness like cancer. i would also exempt any weather or natural disasters. if the state says stay off the roads because they are hazardous that shouldn't count either. the whole idea behind the point system is to get rid of those that perpetually call out without them doing anything.
