So, I've been at this job for a while now, and let me tell you, the pay isn't exactly top-notch. It's definitely on the lower side, considering the responsibilities we have to handle. You often feel like you're on your own, especially during busy shifts. One thing that really grinds my gears is the lack of support from management. Instead of lending a hand when things get hectic, they'd rather have you juggling multiple tasks alone. It's like they expect you to be a one-person army, manning the fryers, ovens, and slicers all at once. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind taking charge, but a little assistance every now and then wouldn't hurt. What really earns my respect is when managers take the time to understand what their employees do. It's not just about delegating tasks; it's about knowing the ins and outs of the job. I would've appreciated it a lot more if my manager had shown some initiative to learn about our roles and pitch in during busy periods, rather than just criticizing when things weren't moving fast enough. Overall, it's been a rollercoaster of experiences. The pay could be better, and the support from management definitely needs some improvement. It's not all bad, but there's definitely room for growth in how things are handled around here. Just wanted to get that off my chest. Has anyone else experienced something similar at their workplace? Would love to hear your thoughts.
