frustrations

a lot of people whoโ€™ve worked there for years ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ are having their hours โฐ cut, even though theyโ€™re full-time and have been super loyal to the company ๐Ÿข... some stores are still hiring ๐Ÿ‘ฅ and giving people full hours โณ, but in other places, people whoโ€™ve worked there for 10+ years are only getting like 20 hours a week ๐Ÿ˜ค, even though theyโ€™re supposed to be full-time. a lot of associates feel like walmart doesnโ€™t care about them ๐Ÿ˜” and is just focused on making sure the managers get their bonuses ๐Ÿ’ฐ. it's like the higher-ups care more about saving money ๐Ÿ’ต than making sure their workers can pay their bills ๐Ÿ’ธ. and itโ€™s not just a random thing ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ - people are saying this happens a lot when business is slow, like in september ๐Ÿ‚. but then during the holidays ๐ŸŽ„๐ŸŽ…, theyโ€™ll probably be begging for extra help. it's super frustrating ๐Ÿ˜ซ because people need consistent hours all year, not just for a couple of months ๐Ÿ—“๏ธ. some people are trying to open up their availability ๐Ÿ“… or switch departments ๐Ÿšช to get more hours, but that doesn't always work ๐Ÿ™„. others are talking about having to get a second job ๐Ÿ˜ฉ or even file for unemployment ๐Ÿ“‰ because their hours got cut so bad. imagine working somewhere for years ๐Ÿ† and then suddenly barely getting any hours! ๐Ÿ˜ก it really su^ks that associates feel like theyโ€™re replaceable ๐Ÿ˜“ and not valued, especially in such a big company ๐Ÿฌ. a lot of people in this group were saying itโ€™s not fair ๐Ÿ˜ , and it is making them want to quit or find something else as I know many are looking ๐Ÿ‘€. itโ€™s tough because at the end of the day people just want to be treated fairly โš–๏ธ and have a steady paycheck ๐Ÿ’ต it's as simple as that so yeah, if you're working at walmart (or any other retailer for that matter)... i hope things get better for you soon ๐Ÿ™. it seems like retail is always a rollercoaster ๐ŸŽข with hours, but people deserve more respect โœŠ especially when theyโ€™ve put in years of work! ๐Ÿ’ช๐ŸŽ‰
