a lot of people whoโve worked there for years ๐๏ธ are having their hours โฐ cut, even though theyโre full-time and have been super loyal to the company ๐ข... some stores are still hiring ๐ฅ and giving people full hours โณ, but in other places, people whoโve worked there for 10+ years are only getting like 20 hours a week ๐ค, even though theyโre supposed to be full-time. a lot of associates feel like walmart doesnโt care about them ๐ and is just focused on making sure the managers get their bonuses ๐ฐ. it's like the higher-ups care more about saving money ๐ต than making sure their workers can pay their bills ๐ธ. and itโs not just a random thing ๐คทโโ๏ธ - people are saying this happens a lot when business is slow, like in september ๐. but then during the holidays ๐๐ , theyโll probably be begging for extra help. it's super frustrating ๐ซ because people need consistent hours all year, not just for a couple of months ๐๏ธ. some people are trying to open up their availability ๐ or switch departments ๐ช to get more hours, but that doesn't always work ๐. others are talking about having to get a second job ๐ฉ or even file for unemployment ๐ because their hours got cut so bad. imagine working somewhere for years ๐ and then suddenly barely getting any hours! ๐ก it really su^ks that associates feel like theyโre replaceable ๐ and not valued, especially in such a big company ๐ฌ. a lot of people in this group were saying itโs not fair ๐ , and it is making them want to quit or find something else as I know many are looking ๐. itโs tough because at the end of the day people just want to be treated fairly โ๏ธ and have a steady paycheck ๐ต it's as simple as that so yeah, if you're working at walmart (or any other retailer for that matter)... i hope things get better for you soon ๐. it seems like retail is always a rollercoaster ๐ข with hours, but people deserve more respect โ especially when theyโve put in years of work! ๐ช๐
