Do you think one day there will be no need for cashiers?

People are getting used to using SCO. I’m afraid the cashier job would be one of the first jobs that will be eliminated by machines. What do you all think?

I’m a cashier and I think about that often. Not worried tho. I would just switch departments. Not every job at Walmart will be replaced by ai and robots soon lol

Yeap totally agree. I think taxi drivers and cashiers are the first to be replaced by AI and robots, unfortunately.

Taxi drivers are already started to be replaced by self driving cars in some states.

That makes much more sense for Walmart. Instead of putting one person in each register, you would just put a few people in the SCO area and save money. After a while, you’ll not even need those 1-2 people and go completely humanless.

Eventually it will happen that's for sure

I'm not very optimistic about AI and robots. So I don't think those type of changes will make our lives easier or better. Instead, we'll all be out of jobs most probably

I mean, there will be upsides for it as well. At least human beings will not have to listen customers bi^^hing about their lives or their experience at Walmart
