Walmart has announced a bonus program for hourly workers, and you’d think that would be good news, but turns out they’re basically dangling it like a carrot to make you work twice as hard. You have to hit all these ridiculous goals that are almost impossible, especially when we’re already short-staffed and overworked. It’s so frustrating—people are getting their hopes up for this “bonus,” but it’s just another way to squeeze more work out of us. Meanwhile, the ones barely doing anything don’t even care because they know they won’t get it, but they don’t have to worry about more work either.
