Becoming a Walmart supplier

My friend’s company has finally finalized deals with Walmart and judging by what he has told me, it was hella hard. I never looked at it this way but the secret to how Walmart always has the lowest prices is because they buy products in bulk, and when I say bulk I really mean it. They put a lot of pressure on their suppliers when it comes to shipping, quantity, payment terms, and product quality so becoming a Walmart supplier for him was a nightmare, and for smaller or less experienced suppliers, it is probably impossible. In any case, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.

I'm happy for your friend, but I’m really sad about the small shops getting destroyed by the corporations.

I can only imagine the struggle it took to get there. I’m sure it had to be tough to meet all of Walmart's demands, especially pricings because they wanna have the prices as low as possible which can really drain the suppliers.
