Be Smart and stay safe....

This was discussed on FB, not sure if it's 100% legit but it sounds so. Anyhow, a supercenter assciate found a used syringe hidden among the grocery items on the shelf. It wasn't just any syringe; it was missing the plunger and filled with blood at the bottom—definitely not used for insulin. Sadly, when the coworker was handling it (packed in cardboard to show to management and safely dispose of), he got jabbed and had to rush to the hospital. It's a serious concern, especially because the area around has a big problem with all kinds of substance abuse... They even have syringe collection boxes in the restrooms, but still, this happened. Stay safe out there and keep an eye out.

The scariest thing is not knowing if the person who used the needle had a disease. It looks like it was connected to dr^g use, which often means there's a risk of catching something, but I'm really hoping that's not true.
