Kind of wild how much buzz there is when Walmart announces annual bonuses for hourly store workers in US. You can almost feel the energy shift in the store as everyone starts speculating about how much they might get. I find it interesting how some employees start planning their spending as soon as they hear the news. It's like they’ve already mentally spent the bonus before they even see it on their paycheck. Meanwhile, I’m just here wondering if I should save it or bl^w it on something fun. Guess I'm still too young haha. There's also people who think that the bonuses are a sign of appreciation. Sure, it’s nice to get something extra, but I sometimes wonder how much of it is just a way to keep morale up. It feels like a temporary band-aid for the real issues we deal with day to day.

If people had any self-respect they wouldn't even cash-in those bonuses. Those are petty numbers comparing to what we actually deserve.
