I did a delivery to this house yesterday and an old lady came out with a slice of cake for me. She told me she appreciates the work that I do and she also said that people like her need people like me. It was one of the best interactions with a customer so far in my career (if not the best). I just wish the number of beautiful people like her grow and grow because we need them more than they need us.

The way Walmart treats its suppliers is something I've recently started finding really troubling because they have this mentality that suppliers are easily replaceable and they are constantly pressured to lower their prices. And if they can't meet Walmart's demands they just get replaced. The market is so abundant that Walmart has the upper hand and uses it without any hesitation. This is creating a super toxic environment where suppliers are having to meet unreasonable demands just to keep their products on Walmart’s shelves. Also it's not just the suppliers who have the constant pressure because the management at Walmart acts like they're above everyone else. They have this attitude that the associates are easily replaceable if they don't follow their rules. There's a lack of respect and appreciation for the hard work we put in and it constantly feels like our voices aren't heard. I've already seen dozens of good associates leave because they couldn't stand the toxic environment anymore and it’s demoralizing to see your colleagues treated poorly, knowing that the same could happen to you if you step out of line.

I have worked here for 2 months already and operate it every single day and I still su^k sooo much. I feel like I’m d^mb because there are new people coming that have never sat in a forklift before and master it on their second day. Has anyone else had the same issue and did you ever manage to overcome it??
... read moreMy friend’s company has finally finalized deals with Walmart and judging by what he has told me, it was hella hard. I never looked at it this way but the secret to how Walmart always has the lowest prices is because they buy products in bulk, and when I say bulk I really mean it. They put a lot of pressure on their suppliers when it comes to shipping, quantity, payment terms, and product quality so becoming a Walmart supplier for him was a nightmare, and for smaller or less experienced suppliers, it is probably impossible. In any case, I wouldn't want to be in their shoes.
