Things got a bit sideways lately it’s so hard to get hours now, people are quitting, we are short on people but we still do not get hours. Many of us have been hired as full time hourly, but we are getting under 30 hours all the time, some people get as low as 8 hours. Not sure if this is some kind of management technique to get rid of people but that will happen anyway as people have bills to pay and 8 hours aint gonna cut it. The game will continue and the higher-ups will keep squeezing those of us who landed full-time gigs during ‘covid’, making us take the hit or bounce. Had a chat with my store manager about it, and all I was getting was the classic shrug-off and ‘do not worry about it’ what a douche but I knew it already. It’s extremely frustrating especially after sticking it out through the pandemic facing all that risk and stress only to be told by the trillion dollar company out there that they "can't afford" to give the hours we were promised when we signed up to be full time. Lies. The businesses in my region are doing well maybe it’s time to pack up and leave, I think this should not be tolerated.
