I'm an AM at an NHM and since I started, my TM has been training me to know everything he does so I can step in when he is sick or takes a day off. I was happy to learn and I thought it was a great idea - plus, I thought it would create a good opportunity for me to move up. I was wrong.
Now I do my job and the job of my TM pretty much every day. Everything he doesn't feel like doing is handed down to me - and there are a lot of things he doesn't feel like doing. He disappears for hours every day and I have to cover for him. This has reached a point where I'm considering quitting because I'm so overworked. Which su^ks, since I like this place and most of the people I work with.
